The next animated iteration of Scooby Doo He’ll take the crime-solving Great Dane to Japan – and Toby.
I ordered a free streamer Yokoso Scooby-Doo! From Warner Bros. Animation. The series, which will air on Tubi in the United States and Cartoon Network internationally, is the first anime series in the series’ long-running history. Scooby Doo. (“Yokuso” is a Japanese word meaning “welcome.”)
Japan’s OLM Studios will provide production services for the series. Itsuro Kawasaki will direct the film, and Francisco Paredes will serve as co-producer.
Sam Register, president of Warner Bros., said: Animation, Cartoon Network Studios and Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe: “Welcome to Mystery Inc., Tubi.” “We’re excited to take part in this next chapter as we push the Scooby-Doo franchise forward with our first-ever original animated series. Together with the amazing artists at OLM, we’ll be unveiling a new batch of mysteries, special surprises, and — of course — plenty of Scooby Snacks, all brought to life through the dynamic art of anime.”
Yokoso Scooby-Doo! The series will follow Shaggy and Scooby (voiced by Frank Welker and Matthew Lillard) as they visit Japan on “the ultimate foodie adventure,” as the show’s tagline says. While there, they “accidentally unleash hundreds of legendary monsters that cause trouble across the country. With the help of Scooby’s uncle, Daisuke-do, along with new friends, magical girl Yumi and gadget player Takumi, the group embarks on an all-new mystery full of monster hunting and fun mayhem.”
“Scooby-Doo is one of the most beloved franchises in entertainment, and… Yokoso Scooby-Doo! “It allows us to reinvent it in a way fans haven’t seen it before,” said Adam Lewinsohn, Tubi’s chief content officer. “By bringing Scooby and Shaggy into the gritty anime world set in Japan, we’re connecting with global audiences and delivering the kind of fun, messy mystery that’s passed down across generations.” As we grow our anime slate, this is exactly our brand of fan-first storytelling – the familiar, surprising and unmistakable Tobi.
Yokoso Scooby-Doo! It is one of two shows on the horizon that will continue the 50-plus-year-old franchise. Netflix live streaming Scooby-Doo: Originswhich will tell the story of how Mystery Inc. came together, began filming in April.
