The actors, producers and technicians expressed their deep sadness over the sudden loss.Actor R Sarath Kumar shared an emotional message of condolence, “The tragic accident of Mr. K. Rajan, a popular producer of the Tamil film industry, leading to his suicide has caused great shock and grief. From 1980 onwards, the unexpected end of this veteran producer, who had firmly established himself in Tamil cinema, will be a great loss to the world of Tamil cinema.”

Actor-producer Vishal also responded to X, expressing his shock at the news.“Just heard the news of Rajan sir’s death. Shocked to learn that he committed suicide. A bold speaker. Khushboo Sundar Pays emotional tribute
Actress and politician Khushboo Sundar also expressed her condolences through a post on X.“Terrible news. I am deeply shocked to hear about the death of our beloved member of the film fraternity, producer K. Rajan Sir. His death by suicide is very sad. A very respectable person and a man who never hesitated to call a spade a spade. Very upsetting. May God have mercy on him. Om Shanthi”
Police investigations are ongoing
According to reports from One India Tamil, K Rajan allegedly died after jumping into the Adyar River in Chennai from a bridge.
