Bob Odenkirk is speaking out in an unprecedented way about his near-death experience while filming the final season of Better Call Saul. The actor recalls having a heart attack while filming the movie, and revealed that it was a lot more serious than 2021 tabloid fans think. While promoting his film Normal, Odenkirk spoke to The Times UK and opened up about the 2021 incident that occurred on set in New Mexico. “I came down and Rhea Seehorn and Patrick Fabian grabbed me and were screaming, but the crew members who noticed it thought they were laughing,” Odenkirk said. “So there was a delay in response because we were all far away from each other.”The actor, who won widespread acclaim for his portrayal of Saul Goodman in Better Call Saul, the prequel to Breaking Bad, said he regained consciousness at the hospital and learned the details of the accident.

“She’s gone. She’s turned grey,” he revealed. He also claimed that the paramedic on set “didn’t know what he was doing. He never performed CPR.”He also revealed that he had no memory of the medical emergency, saying: “My first memory is leaving the hospital a week after I got there.”After the health crisis, he revealed that the recovery process made him feel a renewed appreciation for life. “That was an amazing gift, to have a few weeks where I felt that way about my existence in the world,” Odenkirk said.

“I was thrilled and very involved.”In July 2021, Odenkirk collapsed while filming Better Call Saul and was hospitalized after what his actors described as a “cardiac-related incident.” The actor later underwent a stent procedure and has since made lifestyle changes, including adjustments to his diet and medication regimen.
