IPL points table after match 62: RCB qualify for playoffs while DC stay alive in raceChasing 194, Ashutosh Sharma finished with a six as DC registered their sixth win of the season.DC now has 12 points from 13 matches, moving from eighth to seventh place in the points table.Meanwhile, Ryan Parag’s RR team remained in fifth place when they had the opportunity to enter the top four. RR now has 12 points in as many games with six wins, six losses and an NRR of 0.027.Earlier in the day, RCB became the first team to qualify for the playoffs when they defeated Punjab Kings by 23 runs in Dharamshala. RCB is at the top of the points table with 18 points in 13 matches with nine wins and only four defeats. Punjab Kings, although still in fourth place, have seriously damaged their chances of qualifying for the play-offs after suffering their sixth successive defeat. PBKS now has 13 points in as many matches with six wins, six defeats and one no result. Gujarat Titans remain in second place with 16 points from 13 matches. GT’s five-match winning streak came to an end against KKR, but they are still in good standing with eight wins, five losses and a net run rate of +0.400.

Sunrisers Hyderabad occupies third place with 14 points from 12 matches, winning seven and losing five. Their NRR is +0.331. CSK is ranked sixth in the points table with 12 points from 12 matches after winning six and losing six. Their NRR is +0.027.KKR ranks seventh with 11 points from 12 matches. The former champions now have five wins, six losses and one loss, for a net run rate of -0.038.At the bottom, both Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants were eliminated from the playoff race. MI are ninth with eight points and an NRR of -0.504, while LSG remain in last place with the same number of points but a weaker NRR at -0.701.
