Salman Khan talks about working with people he loves
When Variety India asked Salman about the first film set where he truly felt at home, he didn’t have to think twice. He spoke warmly about the bond he shares with the people he has worked with over the years, and explained that for him, comfort on set always comes down to the people around him. Salman said, “My first film. Sooraj Barjatya and I are like brothers. After that, the most fun I had was with Sohail Khan, Arbaaz Khan, and Sanju (Sanjay Dutt). In fact, all my films. I believe you should work with people you like.”
If there’s a script, and you have to do it, but you don’t like the person, you either don’t do the film or you get along with that person and do the film. “The Taj Mahal was never built on hatred.”
The shirtless moment that made ‘Oh Oh Jaane Jaana’ a national craze
When asked about his first song that became a nationwide sensation, Salman smiled and gave credit to a bit of luck and a special moment that fans still remember to this day. “I was lucky with that, but it was all shirtless singing, it was ‘Oh Oh Jaane Jaana’ (from ‘Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya’),” Khan said.

On the professional front, Salman Khan has some exciting projects under his belt. He will next be seen in Maatrubhumi, directed by Apoorva Lakhia, where he will play the lead opposite Chitrangada Singh. The film, which was earlier known as ‘Battle of Galwan’, is enjoying huge anticipation among fans. Additionally, Salman also has ‘SVC63’ in the pipeline, along with Nayanthara. The film, directed by Vamshi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju, is currently scheduled to release on Eid 2027.
