TCS, or Tata Consultancy Services, is one of India’s largest IT services companies and part of the Tata group. The annual report showed that his total remuneration includes salary, benefits and commissions, with an increase of 6.3 percent year-on-year.Behind the salary numbers lies a long career built entirely within the company over more than three decades.Krithivasan studied mechanical engineering at Coimbatore Institute of Technology from 1981 to 1985.
He later completed his MSc in Industrial and Management Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur in 1987. He joined TCS in 1989 and spent more than 30 years with the organization. Over time, he worked in multiple roles before moving to senior leadership positions.Between 2007 and 2023, he held multiple positions including Head of Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) at TCS, a key business segment for the company.
He held this position for over 16 years.In June 2023, he was appointed CEO and Managing Director of TCS, taking charge of the company’s global operations from Mumbai after a long in-house career.TCS also stated in its report that management remuneration is determined by the Nominations and Remuneration Committee based on performance, company results and market standards.
