Eurovision Song Contest 2026: Australia wins audience poll round by 15.5%

Get ready, people! The Eurovision Song Contest has had a rollercoaster ride all week, and it’s time to watch the final battle between the performers. While the grand final will be held in Vienna on Saturday, May 16, 2026, an important vote was taken from the public, which represents 50% of the win.

Australia wins Eurovision audience poll

The winner of the Eurovision audience poll for the 2026 Grand Final is none other than Delta Goodrem from Australia, after her second rehearsal of the song contest. It received about 15.5% of the votes from 3,620 participants, and is at the top of the list. The other member states that rank in the top 10 are Bulgaria, Finland, Moldova, Greece, Denmark, Austria, Norway, Sweden and Romania, respectively, according to Eurovoi.

Previous winners of the Eurovision audience poll

In 2025, Sweden won the public poll but ultimately finished fourth. Meanwhile, Switzerland came first in the 2024 audience poll and eventually held the title as well. However, in 2023, Finland won the poll but came in second place after the grand finale.

About Eurovision

Being one of the largest music festivals, the Eurovision Song Contest featured more than 35 countries competing against each other for the title. The 2026 competition was held in Austria, where it won the title last year. The first event was held on 12 May 2026, followed by the second semi-final on Thursday 14 May 2026. Meanwhile, due to the Gaza War, five countries (Iceland, Ireland, Spain, Netherlands, and Slovenia) boycotted the entire event by refusing to broadcast, after withdrawing their names.

This call came after countries expressed their views on excluding Israel from the competition before the European Broadcasting Union.
