When the corona bells start ringing in the city, you’ll know it’s Tom Cruise. The stylish actor touched down at the London airstrip, where he stepped off his helicopter earlier this week. Immediately after the recent announcement of production on the third installment of the blockbuster film, Top Gun 3, the 63-year-old star was spotted in all black as rain covered the sky.

Tom Cruise lands in black in London

Excitement abounded across social media apps after it was confirmed that the sequel to box office hit “Top Gun: Maverick” will be getting a sequel. However, the “Jerry Maguire” actor has been touring the action movies and was spotted taking a trip to the United Kingdom on May 14, 2026, according to People Magazine. Dressed in a black outfit, the actor wore a black collared jacket and black pants, along with subtle shades.

He was also seen greeting airport staff and holding his umbrella during the light rain.

Tom Cruise returns to the Top Gun series

Earlier this year, it was revealed that Tom Cruise would once again take to the skies at CinemaCon during the presentation. However, no other cast member has been confirmed to star in the action drama, according to The Guardian. “We think and talk about a lot of different stories and what we can do and what’s possible,” he said last year on Australian show Today, before adding: “It took me 35 years to discover Top Gun: Maverick.

So, all these things we’re working on, we’re discussing Days of Thunder and Top Gun: Maverick.

Has Tom Cruise signed on for another movie?

While whispers are swirling about Tom Cruise’s upcoming cinematic breakthrough, he is reportedly in talks with another spy thriller titled ‘Doppelgänger’. Jeff Snyder’s entertainment newsletter, The InSneider, claimed that the actor spoke with writer Aneesh Chaganty.
