'Bhooth Bangla' box office collection Day 29: Akshay Kumar's horror-comedy narrowly misses Rs 250 crore mark

Akshay Kumar’s Bhooth Bangla has entered its fifth week in theatres. The horror comedy generated low but steady profits after completing its first two weeks in cinemas. The film opened to mixed reviews from audiences and critics.

However, nostalgia becomes the talking point and defining feature of the film. A section of audiences enjoyed watching the old comedy version of Akshay in the film.

The Priyadarshan directorial has collected Rs 84.40 crore, Rs 43.75 crore, Rs 21.85 crore and Rs 14.30 crore in the first, second, third and fourth weeks. According to a Sacnilk report on the 15th, the film has collected Rs 0.75 crore across 2,297 shows.This took the gross collection in India to Rs 195.70 lakh crore and the total net collection in India to Rs 165.05 lakh crore.

As per the report, on day 29, the horror-comedy grossed Rs 0.05 crore overseas, taking its total overseas collection to Rs 53.35 crore. With this, the film’s worldwide gross collection now stands at Rs 249.05 crore. The film narrowly missed the Rs 250 crore mark at the global box office.
