Drake Snowman The era got off to a hot start, with Spotify confirming on Friday that the star was the most streamed single-day of 2026 thanks to two albums and two other surprise releases Maid of honor and My dear.
Per Spotify, Snowman It had the most streams for an album in a single day in 2026 as well, while “Make Them Cry” earned the same distinction for songs. Drake’s releases come at the most important time in his career in years, marking his first solo recordings since his infamous feud with Kendrick Lamar in 2024.
Spotify’s early numbers reflect Drake’s continued status as one of the world’s biggest recording artists and suggest huge numbers on the charts next week.

Fans were anticipating Snowman for months, with Drake promoting the album this year by placing a giant ice structure in downtown Toronto, and hiding the album’s release date inside. Drake surprised fans on Thursday, as he revealed this during a live broadcast with… snowman, He will drop two more albums as well.
His new releases took over social media on Friday, where they seemed to call out everyone from Lamar to LeBron James to DJ Khaled. Snowman. Artists featured on all three albums include 21 Savage, Sexy Red, and Future, the latter of whom collaborated with Lamar and Metro Boomin on “Like That,” the song that caused Lamar and Drake’s beef to explode in the first place.
With the first day coming to a close, the question now becomes how many units can Drake move during the first week with all of his new music. This will become more clear in the coming days.
