Penny Johnson and Marjorie Taylor Greene are now in the midst of a heated public online fight, and it all started because of new allegations involving Congressman Thomas Massie. The controversy exploded at X on May 14 after Greene shared a post criticizing Johnson’s YouTube coverage of allegations made against Massey by his alleged ex-girlfriend, Cynthia West.

The allegations surfaced just days before Massie’s primary in Kentucky, and quickly turned into a political and social media firestorm. The situation became even bigger when Greene accused social media influencers of being “paid to spread propaganda.” Benny Johnson responded shortly after, saying he was simply covering a popular headline story for his audience. From here, the two sides began exchanging sharp accusations in long public posts.

While Johnson defended his reporting, Green accused him of spreading lies and using other people’s content.

Meanwhile, Thomas Massey also publicly denied all the accusations against him and described them as politically motivated ahead of the election.

Penny Johnson and Marjorie Taylor Greene trade harsh accusations as the controversy over Thomas Macy escalates.

The online clash began after an X user named Bobby Sauce criticized Benny Johnson’s latest YouTube video about Thomas Massie. In the video, Johnson discussed accusations from Cynthia West, who claimed that Massey paid hush money during their previous relationship.

Marjorie Taylor Greene reposted this criticism on May 14 and wrote about influencers getting “paid to spread propaganda.” The post quickly caught Johnson’s attention.Johnson responded directly to Greene, writing: “I cover trending news topics on my show. The Massey allegations and your South American palace were the most trending topics on this platform. I am entitled to my opinions on these matters. I serve my audience.”

This is my job. And unlike you, I won’t run away from my job when things get tough.Shortly after, Greene responded with stronger words. She described Johnson as a “liar and vile” and accused him of spreading “outrageous lies” in exchange for money. She also mentioned previous media allegations relating to Johnson, including allegations relating to Russia, Israel, Conservative conferences and content theft. Green questioned why these allegations were never discussed on his platform.Johnson later responded with another long statement. He said Greene’s comments were “evidence-free slander” and defended his reporting. He also criticized Greene on immigration and border issues, saying: “What you said about me is a slander devoid of evidence. But what I said about you is true.” Meanwhile, Thomas Massey has publicly denied all the accusations made against him by Cynthia West. Massey said in his statement:“Sadly, a week before this election, people made false and baseless allegations about me in an apparent attempt to influence the outcome of this election.

All allegations of inappropriate behavior are false. “I have never offered anyone money for their silence.”He also added: “No ethics lawsuits have been filed against me, nor have any lawsuits been filed against me in my 14 years in office. I have consulted legal counsel, and we are considering all options.” So far, Marjorie Taylor Greene has not publicly responded to Penny Johnson’s latest post.
