NEET (UG) is the national entrance examination conducted by NTA for admission into undergraduate medical programmes.

“The National Testing Agency, with the approval of the Government of India, has scheduled the NEET (UG) 2026 re-examination on Sunday, June 21, 2026. Candidates and parents are requested to rely only on the official channels of NTA,” NTA said in a post on X on Friday.

Announcing the cancellation of the May 3 examination, the NTA on Tuesday said the decision was taken in light of the inputs received, as well as the findings shared by law enforcement agencies, which demonstrated that the current examination process cannot be allowed to stand.

The ‘inputs’ here refer to reports of alleged irregularities investigated by the Rajasthan Special Operations Group (SOG).

An investigation into the paper leak allegations that have emerged from Rajasthan, now being conducted by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), has led to multiple arrests.
