Did Emmanuel Macron get slapped by his wife Brigitte? New book claims French president once described Iranian actress as 'very beautiful'

French President Emmanuel Macron has been thrust into fresh controversy after a new book claimed his wife Brigitte Macron slapped him during an official trip abroad last year after she allegedly saw flirtatious messages on his phone linked to an Iranian-born actress. The allegations were made in journalist Florian Tardif’s book An (Almost) Perfect Couple, which suggests that tensions between the pair escalated after Brigitte saw messages allegedly sent between Emmanuel Macron and the actress.

Gulshifteh is hilarious

During a trip to Vietnam in May last year. The incident is said to have occurred while the couple was preparing to leave their plane in Hanoi. Cameras later showed Brigitte pushing the president, and the video went viral on the Internet.According to excerpts cited by the French newspaper Le Parisien, Brigitte allegedly read a message on her husband’s phone from Farahani moments before speaking publicly. One message allegedly included the line: “I find you very beautiful,” which was said to have been sent by President Macron.Journalist Florian Tardif claimed in an interview that the exchanges were linked to a “platonic relationship” between the president and the actress.

President Macron said to Farahani, in one of the letters, “I find you very beautiful,” according to what was reported by the Tardif newspaper, whose book “An (Almost) Perfect Couple” was published on Wednesday. He added: “The French president had a platonic love relationship with the actress for several months.”According to the book, the situation created tension within the presidential marriage, and contributed to the moment of “slapping” on the plane steps that went viral. However, the Elysee (the official residence of the President of France in Paris) rejected these allegations. A representative for Brigitte Macron denied the allegations and insisted she would never check her husband’s phone.A representative told Le Parisien: “Brigitte Macron categorically denied this account directly to the writer on March 5, explaining that she had never looked at her husband’s mobile phone.”Golshifteh Farahani, who has long faced rumors about her relationship with the French president, also denied any romantic relationship.“I think there is a lack of love in some people and they need to create romantic stories like this to fill it [the void],” she told Le Point in March.Widely circulated footage from Hanoi showed Macron heading towards his wife as she pushed him in the face. He appeared briefly stunned before regaining his composure and greeting the cameras. At the time, the Elysee denied the incident and described it as minor. “It was a moment for the president and his wife to relax one last time before starting the trip by joking around,” said a confidant.Macron himself later described it as playful behavior, saying the reaction had been overblown to the point of “a kind of planetary geo-catastrophe.”
