The Banff International Media Festival has revealed the honorees for June’s Rocky Awards, and they’re headed up community Star Ken Jeong, who will receive the Sir Peter Ustinov Comedy Award, and beverly Hills, 90210 Actor Jason Priestley, who will receive the Award of Excellence.

Tanto Cardinal is also designated for enshrinement in the Canadian Rockies (Moonflower killers dance with wolves), and will be honored with the Career Achievement Award, and stray Creator and star May Martin, who will receive the Creative Voice Award.

The quartet will be honored for their talented achievements and work that has had an impact on the global entertainment industry. The Rockie Awards will be hosted by Emmy Award winner, Alana Harkin (Full frontal with Samantha Bee) on June 16.

Banff also announced participants for a panel of top TV series creators, including R.J. Scott Gemmell (Pete, JAG), Nick Antosca (Cape Fear, Channel Zero), Aaron Zalman, (Law & Order, Damages, Strain), Amy B. Harris (Sex and the City, The Carrie Diaries), Lee Seung Jin (Beef, X-Men), Glenn Kessler (Damage, bloodline) and Oren Ozil (Spider Noir, 22 Jump Street).

Zelman and Kessler are currently co-showrunners of the Fox series Memory of the killer Meeting in Banff with fellow series creators to discuss where global television is headed, as broadcast consolidation, rising production costs and the rapid onset of artificial intelligence have led to a rethink of business models and creative strategies in the entertainment industry.

“This distinguished panel brings together some of the most compelling creative minds working in television today,” Pam Silverstein, Banff’s head of programming, said in a statement.

The Banff World Media Festival is scheduled to run from June 14-17.
