Many Bollywood celebrities took to social media and other online platforms to honor their mothers on Mother’s Day this year. From veteran actor Anupam Kher to Sunny Deol and Kajol, many stars shared heartfelt posts about the importance their mothers hold in their lives.
Anupam Kher’s post for his mother
Anupam Kher shared a series of pictures and videos featuring his mother Dulari on Mother’s Day and spoke about the sacrifices mothers make. He wrote, “Maa sirf janm nahin detee… vo hamen har din thoda-thoda Banaatee hai. Apane hisse kee neend, khushiyaan, ichchhaen aur kabhee-kabhee pora jeevan tak chupachaap hamaare naam kar detee hai.”(“A mother doesn’t just give birth…she shapes us a little every day.

Bobby Deol, Sunny Deol and Esha Deol
The Deol siblings also shared heartfelt posts of their mother on social media. Bobby Deol posted a picture of himself hugging his mother, Prakash Kaur, while she playfully pinched his cheeks. He wrote in the caption: “No matter how old I get, I will always be your little boy. Happy Mother’s Day, my dear mother.”Meanwhile, Sunny Deol shared a series of photos and videos of his mother with a simple caption that read: “Love you mama.”
Their sister, Esha Deol, also posted an old black and white photo with her mother and wrote: “I love you, mama.”

Actors Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal shared a joint post featuring clips of the actress and their daughter, Zunaira Ida Fazal. The video included daily glimpses into Richa’s life as a mother while also paying tribute to mothers everywhere.They wrote in the caption: “Happy Mother’s Day to me and everyone else’s mother. Kajol also shared a post of her mother Tanuja, where she posted a selfie of the mother-daughter duo with a sweet caption.
