India’s 1st ERP Industry Expo in Pune highlights digital transformation for MSMEs

PUNE: Emphasizing the need for technology-led growth in the MSME sector, Padma Shri awardee and founder of Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DICCI), Milind Kamble on Thursday said that adoption of advanced technologies like artificial intelligence and digitalization is crucial to accelerate India’s journey towards becoming a developed nation by 2047.Speaking at the inauguration of India’s first three-day ERP industry exhibition at Auto Group Exhibition Center in Chinchwad, Campbell said MSMEs played a major role in the country’s economic growth and needed modern technological integration to improve efficiency and productivity.“Artificial intelligence and digitization will help industries boost productivity and streamline operations. The technological revolution will help India shed its tag as a developing country and emerge as a developed country by 2047,” he said.The exhibition is organized by Exponomics Events and features enterprise resource planning (ERP) and advanced digital solutions across sectors including manufacturing, finance, logistics, retail, healthcare, construction and educational technology.Among those present at the event were Pimpri Elite Rotary Club President Irfan Awate, Exponomics Directors Sagar Ahewale and Milind Hadap, among others.Deputy Prime Minister Eknath Shinde praised the initiative through a video message.

A guide containing details of the exhibition was also issued during the event.President Irfan Awate spoke about the Rotary International Zone which focuses on economics and community development through business skills education.The exhibition continues until May 9, and will remain open to visitors for free from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. It will include expert sessions, workshops and live demos on enterprise resource planning (ERP) and digital technologies.
