Nine ministers have been appointed to the C Joseph Vijay-led Tamil Nadu Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) cabinet as he was formally sworn in as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister before Governor Rajendra Arlikar on Sunday.

Lok Bhavan on Sunday released a list of nine candidates hailing from diverse backgrounds with a mix of political mix.
The nominees are N Anand, Aadhav Arjuna, KG Arunraj MBBS, KA Sengottaiyan, R Nirmalkumar, A Rajmohan, TK Prabhu, S Keerthana and P Venkataramanan.
Ministerial portfolios were not distributed on Sunday.

Anand, also known as Munusamy is the party’s general secretary, and is an alumnus of Kalpi Government Higher Secondary School in Puducherry. Anand has emerged as a legislator from Thiyagarayanagar Assembly constituency in Chennai.
The 61-year-old Anand is called Vijay’s long-time close aide and also a former legislator from neighboring Puducherry in Busi constituency.
He won under the Puducherry Munnetra Congress, a party founded by former Puducherry Speaker P Kannan. He was also the president of the Vijay Fans Club in Puducherry.
Aadhav Arjuna
Aadhav Arjuna Rajendran is the son-in-law of ‘lottery’ king Santiago Martin and All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) legislator Lima Rose.
A former basketball player, he is an election strategist at TVK and is credited with the party’s logistical success.
He is the former deputy general secretary of Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK). He joined TVK in January 2025.
In December 2024, Arjuna wrote a book titled Ellorukkumaana Thalaivar Ambedkar (Ambedkar: A Leader for All), which was released by Vijay.
KG Arunraj
Forty-six-year-old Arunraj is a doctor turned government employee in the Income Tax Department, who has served various states including Tamil Nadu, Bihar and Maharashtra. He voluntarily retired and joined TVK in June 2025.
Arunraj hails from Thiruchengode and is the party’s general secretary for publicity and policy. Before politics, he was known for his medical background and outreach work. He is also an Assistant Professor at Kilpauk Medical College.
Ka Sengotayan
The 78-year-old veteran politician and ten-time MLA from Gobichettipalayam, Sengottaiyan is the most senior member of the party.
He was expelled from the AIADMK and is now the chief coordinator of TVK. He was a close confidant of late AIADMK chief J Jayalalithaa. His presence in TVK is expected to add a big boost to TVK’s offerings.
R Nirmal Kumar
Hailing from Thiruparankundram Assembly, 44-year-old Kumar holds a master’s degree in criminology and police administration and has worked in the digital wing of both the AIADMK and the BJP. He is known for his skills in digital campaigns and communication.
His role in the party has strengthened its digital footprint, including its social media presence, allowing TVK to reach a larger audience beyond the performance of established political parties.
Rajmohan Arumugam
Thirty-nine-year-old Rajmohan, a public speaker, emerged victorious in the Egmore SC assembly in the April 23 elections.
He is a popular media personality and speaker known as “VJ” or “Pro” and appeals to urban youth. He provided the cultural translation needed to engage Gen Z voters.
He is known for his popular show ‘Put Chutney’ and is the publicity secretary of TVK.
TK Prabhu
41-year-old TK Prabhu, a dentist by profession, emerged victorious from the Karaikudi meeting and comes from a family of farmers.
He has been active in the field of social welfare through his medical profession and outreach program at TVK. He obtained many international certificates in dental implantology from Germany, the Philippines and Korea.
He is the party’s Sivajana East district secretary.

S. Keerthana
The youngest single minister, 30-year-old Keerthana is fluent in multiple languages and is known as the first woman MLA from Sivagasi Assembly constituency, known as the ‘fireworks capital of the country’.
Keerthana is a graduate in Mathematics and Postgraduate in Statistics from Central University, Puducherry.
Her recent interaction in Hindi while seeking votes has attracted attention as speaking Hindi is politically sensitive in the state. She said language was important for a wider audience and for recognition.
P. Venkataramanan
Forty-eight-year-old Venkataramanan is the party’s treasurer and has served as Vijay’s trusted legal and professional advisor for several decades. He is a lawyer and chartered accountant, and represents the professional class within the party leadership.
He is a major Brahmin face and emerged victorious in Mylapore Assembly, a Brahmin influenced constituency.
