In a new interview, Rob Mills, executive vice president of unscripted television at Disney, revealed that ABC remains open to the possibility of eventually airing Taylor’s episodes.

“Everything about this is day to day. There’s nothing new to report right now,” Mills said. diverse When asked about the possibility that the season – which has already been fully filmed – will eventually air.

Recent court decisions may have influenced Disney’s decision-making process. We now know that Paul will not face any additional charges after additional domestic violence allegations are investigated.

Taylor pleaded guilty to assaulting her then-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen in February of 2023. But it was only when ABC executives saw footage of the incident that they decided not to air her season.

Mills still stands by the decision to make her the Bachelorette.

“I met Taylor. She said, ‘Look, I’m raising three kids with different fathers;’ One, I have a great co-parenting relationship with them. The other is challenging, but I’m really looking for a partner and someone who can help me.”

“Her motives were very sincere,” he continued.

“Going into that, that was a really interesting story to tell through the lens of The Bachelor. Obviously, with everything that’s happened and everything everyone’s going through, that’s the hard part. Everything Taylor had to go through was really hard. The season itself is really amazing. It’s been an amazing journey for her.”

Mills also confirmed that Paul’s other reality show, The Secret Lives of Mormon WivesProduction has resumed.

“There’s not much to say, other than obviously we’re going back to production,” he said.

“This doesn’t mean we’ll be filming tomorrow. It just means that production will resume, and we’re trying to see what that looks like.”

Mills added that producers’ top priority is Taylor, and they are working to ensure “that she as a human being, on a personal level, is taken care of.”

He continued: “What the shooting will look like will be determined later.”

“Everything is still going well day to day — this was just an announcement that we’re just going back to production. This is a process. Because we’ve been on hiatus for so long, we have to figure out what this season is going to look like. What are the storylines?”

Mills refuted rumors that Disney was delaying a production decision until they knew if Paul would be charged with felony assault.

“It was just making sure that we were really careful and thoughtful and working with the entire cast, as well as the producers, and making sure that everyone felt like this was the right decision all around,” he said.

There are rumors on social media that ABC has already set a premiere date for Taylor’s season Bachelorettebut that seems to be unfounded.

We will have further updates on this developing story as new information becomes available.
