It’s been eight months since Charlie Kirk was shot and killed while giving a speech at a Utah college.
And this week, his widow, Erica Kirk, celebrated what would have been another wedding anniversary with her late husband.
Erica shared an emotional tribute on social media — a tribute filled with memories, heartbreak and a reminder that love doesn’t end after loss.

On Friday, the CEO of Turning Point USA posted a touching video featuring footage from the couple’s engagement and wedding, along with clips including audio of Charlie, Erica, and one of their children.
“Although our children will not see our love ‘growing together’ from an earthly perspective, they will see it from a heavenly perspective,” Erika wrote in her post on X (formerly Twitter).
“And I’ll tell them about our love story any moment I can. Happy anniversary to the love of my life.”
Needless to say, this post struck an emotional chord.
Many users flooded the comments with messages of support, condolences and memories of Charlie, whose death still looms more than half a year later.
As noted by Fox News, Erika took on a leadership role at Turning Point USA following Charlie’s death last year, taking over as CEO following his murder.
At the same time, his death remains part of an ongoing national conversation about political violence.
In recent weeks, Erica has continued to speak out about grief and the political climate.
After the shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner — where she was in attendance — Erica addressed the incident on her show in emotional terms.
“Our country has become unrecognizable; these people have distorted the truth to the point that they motivated the murder of my husband,” she said.
“They have constantly tried to assassinate the president, and anyone who stands in their way is labeled ‘hateful,’ ‘racist,’ ‘fascist,’ and pretty much every other dishonest word.”
But on Friday, the policy took a backseat.
Instead, the focus was squarely on the memory — and on the love that Erika clearly still holds on to, even after unimaginable loss.
