Vignesh Shivan’s ‘Love Insurance Company’ faced some mixed reviews when the film was released in theatres. Although some viewers loved the film for its humor, emotion and visual effects, there were others who expected something else from the film.

Vignesh Shivan remains confident
Responding to the response, Vignesh Shivan shared an emotional note on Instagram, thanking fans for their support.
“I came with a dream…not small…not safe…a storm of belief that this story would resonate with millions of dollars,” he wrote. The director admitted that he expects the film to achieve greater numbers at the box office. “I imagined the applause… I heard it in the theatres. I showed the laughter… I heard it in the theatres. But still, the 100-crore benchmark was not crossed,” he said candidly.
Despite the mixed results, Vignesh Shivan said he was still proud of the trip.
He added in his heartfelt message: “Here I stand. Not broken. Not shaken. But proud…so proud.”

On the same note, Vignesh Shivan also revealed that the film faced many unseen difficulties before its release. “Behind this film were battles that no one saw. Sleepless nights. Silent fears. And thousands of obstacles that only I can feel,” he wrote. According to the director, although the film did not fully meet his expectations commercially, he still considered its release a personal victory.
He also explained that a large portion of the film’s profits came after people were initially skeptical of the project.
