Sanjeev Goenka received praise on social media for his humble gesture after Lucknow Super Giants’ win over Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Thursday.Lucknow Super Giants defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru by nine runs via DLS method in a rain-soaked IPL 2026 at Ekana Stadium, keeping their playoff hopes alive.

The win ended LSG’s six-game losing streak and gave them their first home win of the season.After the match, in a touching moment that went viral, the LSG owner was seen approaching Virat Kohli with his grandson after the match. However, Kohli was engaged in a conversation with former New Zealand captain Kane Williamson at the time. Despite wanting to meet the RCB star, Goenka chose not to interrupt the discussion and waited patiently beside his grandson for the conversation to end. In the clip that went viral, he can be seen stopping an LSG staff member from bothering Kohli and Williamson during their interaction.

Once the conversation was over, Goenka and his grandson finally got a chance to meet Kohli. The RCB player interacted warmly with them and they also signed the youngster’s autograph, making the moment even more special.
