The swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected BJP members is scheduled to be held on May 9 and will be held at the Brigade Parade Ground.

The main meeting to select the next West Bengal Chief Minister was chaired by Home Minister Amit Shah in Kolkata.

The BJP scored a historic victory in the recently concluded West Bengal Assembly elections, ending the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress’ 15-year run.

Bengal Governor RN Ravi dissolved the state assembly on Thursday, paving the way for the formation of the new government.
