After the back-to-back success of ‘Dhurandhar’ and ‘Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge’, co-producer Jyoti Deshpande has sparked speculation about what comes next, hinting that fans of Ranveer Singh’s hit series can expect a ‘surprise’ soon because, as she put it, ‘they’re not done yet’.

Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, she said, “We are not done with Dhurandhar yet. We hope to have a surprise for the audience later this year. There is something up our sleeve.” The hint from Jyoti has sent fans into a frenzy, with many now wondering if a third installment in the ‘Dhurandhar’ franchise could already be in the pipeline.

Meanwhile, in a recent interview, director Aditya Dhar’s wife, Yami Gautam, spoke about the success of the film.
“Nothing has changed us as human beings. This also comes from Aditya, the kind of person he is, very unaffected and very humble. I have seen him through different phases; there are highs and lows and fragile phases, but it was not like during that phase we expressed our frustration or let it out. We both are very thankful to God, spirituality is very important to us, and we believe in God Almighty.”

‘Dhurandhar’ was released on 5 December 2025 as a spy, action thriller film starring Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal and R Madhavan. The film follows an undercover Indian intelligence agent who infiltrates Karachi’s criminal underworld to dismantle an ISI-backed terrorist network, and its story draws loose inspiration from real-life events including the 1999 IC-814 hijacking, the 2001 Indian Parliament attack, and the 2008 Mumbai attacks. It has grossed over Rs 1,350 crore worldwide. Its sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, was released on March 19, 2026, picking up where the first film as an agent left off.
