Ranbir Kapoor’s sister Riddhima Kapoor is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Daadi Ki Shaadi. The film also stars Neetu Kapoor and Kapil Sharma. At 45 years old, Riddhima has become the oldest member of the Kapoor family to make her acting debut.
She had previously appeared on ‘Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives’.Riddhima opened up on her debut and said, “It feels very surreal and emotional. There is a feeling that everything is coming full circle… I know that my father is always with me, blessing me with anything and everything I choose to do. This thought gives me a lot of strength and comfort.”She also revealed that the photoshoot was a personal milestone, as it was the first time since Rishi Kapoor’s cancer treatment in New York that she had to leave her daughter in Delhi.
Reflecting on the experience, she said: “Honestly, the biggest challenge was entering a completely new world at this stage of life. There is a certain vulnerability in starting over, but there is also a lot of excitement at the same time.”Speaking about how her experience on the reality show helped in her transition, she said: “Being in front of the camera on a show made me feel comfortable. It gave me a sense of ease and familiarity, which definitely made this transition smoother.”
Neetu Kapoor also made a brief appearance on the show, and spoke about returning to work after Rishi Kapoor’s death.In ‘Daadi Ki Shaadi’, Neetu will be seen playing Riddhima’s mother on screen as well. Speaking about the experience, Riddhima said, “Working with my mother was incredibly special. I discovered how easy and natural she is as an actor.” She also remembered her mother’s advice: “Stay normal and don’t overthink it.

I’m just grateful that he recommended my name.” The film also stars Sarath Kumar and Sadiya Al Khatib and is scheduled to hit theaters on May 8.
