Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, daughter of the late Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor, spoke about her acting debut in Daadi Ki Shaadi at the age of 45, and described the experience as “surreal” and “very emotional”.“It feels very surreal and emotional. Riddhima, who was earlier seen on a reality show, said this experience helped her make the switch to films.“Being in front of the camera for the show made me feel comfortable,” she said. “It gave me a sense of ease and familiarity, which definitely made this transition smoother.”
On working with Neetu Kapoor and advice from Ranbir
Speaking about sharing screen space with her mother Neetu Kapoor, she said, “Working with my mother was incredibly special. I discovered how easy and natural she is as an actor.”She also revealed the advice she received before facing the camera. “Stay natural and don’t think too much. Just feel the moment. It really helped me ease my performance,” she said, referring to her brother Ranbir Kapoor’s guidance.
Riddhima also spoke about being recommended for the project.“I didn’t really ask directly why, but I think he saw a certain amount of honesty or connection with me. I’m just grateful that he recommended my name,” she said.
