A 36-year-old man has been found guilty after using a fake Tinder profile to send several men to his ex-partner’s house under false pretenses.Asad Hussain, also known as Ash Hussain, was found guilty at Chester Crown Court of stalking involving alarm or serious distress, assault by beating and failing to comply with section 49 of a RIPA notice. The court heard that Hussain created a fake Tinder account using his ex-partner’s photos and personal details. He shared her address, phone number and email with several men, inviting them to her home under false pretenses.Cheshire Police said at least 18 men turned up at the woman’s address during 2024, believing they had been invited after matching with her online. Some told her she sent a message saying she wanted to engage in a “rape fantasy” and be “manhandled.”
They said they were told that if she said “no” it meant she “wanted it more,” the Manchester Evening News reported. On one occasion, several men arrived at her home on the same night after receiving similar messages. In another incident, a man pushed the front door, damaging a glass panel, after he was told it was open, so he pushed it.Another person entered the property while the woman’s child was inside, although no physical harm was reported.
The court was told that Hussain initially contacted the victim using an alias and later became controlling during their relationship. After the matter was over, he repeatedly tried to contact her and accused her family and friends.Police said Hussain took steps to hide his identity, including using separate phones and changing car registration details. Officers later linked him to the fake accounts through location data and vehicle records. He was arrested in October 2024 and denied any involvement during interrogation.Hussain was found guilty of stalking involving alarm or serious distress, assault and battery, and failure to comply with Section 49 of the RIPA Notice, a formal request that requires a person to provide passwords to electronic devices.Investigating officer PC Keith Tyrrell described the case as extremely disturbing. He said: “Hussein is a very deceitful person whose only goal was to cause the victim and her children as much harm as possible. He even went as far as inciting others to break into her home and sexually assault her.”“At no time did Hussein take responsibility for his actions or acknowledge the enormous horror he was about to unleash. He repeatedly claimed that he had never met the victim. However, the evidence has shown that this is a complete lie.”He added that the victim and her family were shocked by the incident.“These events have left the victim and her children incredibly shocked and distressed.“The strength and courage they showed throughout was amazing,” he said. “Thanks to this and the incredible support from her daughters, friends and other witnesses, Hussein has been held accountable for his actions.”Hussein was convicted after a nine-day trial. A ruling is expected at a later date.
