Zayn Malik has canceled all of his scheduled US stops for his upcoming KONNAKOL tour.
The former One Direction singer announced the news on Friday, stating that he would be reducing the number of shows he would play after being hospitalized last month due to an undisclosed medical condition.
“To my fans: Thank you so much for all the support and love you showed me when I released the album, and most importantly your love, prayers, and well wishes for my health,” he wrote on his Instagram Story. “I felt like it, and it means the world. I’ve been home recovering and doing well and will be better and stronger than before. I had to take another look at my schedule for the coming months and I have to reduce the number of shows on the KONNAKOL Tour.”
Malik continued, “I want to make sure I keep getting out and seeing as many of you as possible. I’m really looking forward to doing these shows for you, and I hope to see the rest of you around the world very soon. Big Love, Z.”
The “Pillowtalk” singer has canceled a number of press appearances planned for April (including his The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Tonight show) due to an undisclosed medical condition. Last month, he shared a photo on Instagram of himself lying in a hospital bed, wearing a hospital gown and with tubes attached to his body.
“To my fans – thank you all for your love and support now and always – it’s been a long week and I’m still recovering unexpectedly.” “My heart breaks that I can’t see you all this week, I wouldn’t be where I am today without you guys and I’m so grateful for your understanding. Thank you to the amazing hospital staff of doctors, nurses, cardiologists, administration, admin and everyone who helped along the way and is still going. You are all legends! Big love xx z.”
On the KONNAKOL owner’s tour website, there are still a number of international dates scheduled. The tour is scheduled to begin on May 23 in London. The singer will then stop in Mexico, Chile, Argentina and Brazil, before concluding her concert on October 14 in Peru. All planned stops in the United States have been removed.
Elsewhere on his list, Malek is expected to reunite on screen with his former One Director bandmate Louis Tomlinson in an American road trip docu-series for Netflix. The project’s release date has not been set, but it is expected to be released in 2026.
Hollywood Reporter She reached out to Malik’s representatives, but had not received a response by press time.
