Audrey Beth Davis, a retired entertainment publicist who worked with the Libin Group, has died. She was 82 years old.
The Libin Group announced that Davis died on Friday in Pennsylvania of natural causes, where she was surrounded by her family, friends and caregivers.
She was born in Brooklyn, New York, on October 17, 1943, and graduated from Midwood High School in 1960. Before delving into her career in public relations, Davis worked for Judson Todman in Match game.
In the late 1970s, she joined Stone Associates and partner Dick Lippin brought her to his new firm, Lippin & Grant. Davis continued to work with the company until its transition to the Libin Group in 1986, and remained with Libin until 2008, when she retired as executive vice president.
“Audrey was part of our founding team, and when she retired it was a sad day,” Dick Libin, chairman and CEO of the Libin Group, said in a statement. Hollywood Reporter. “She was a wonderful, loving woman and a consummate professional.”
Throughout her career in entertainment public relations, Davis’ focus has been on television, which has led her to work on numerous titles over the years. Some shows have lent their talents to beloved favorites such as golden girls; empty nest; love boat; law and order; Law & Order: Special Victims Unit; Law and Order: Mens rea; and the Emmy Award-winning CBS miniseries Scarlett.
Survivors include her sister, Rhonda and her husband, Jim. Sister Sharon; niece Rebecca and her husband Conrad; nephew Hank and his wife Karen; and her nieces and nephews Jake, Sarah, Zoe and Hannah. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. John’s. Francis Home.
