Raipur: The Chhattisgarh government will launch ‘Sushasan Tihar 2026’, a statewide good governance drive from Friday to ensure speedy and effective redressal of public grievances by transferring governance directly to the people, an official said.

He said the campaign, which will continue until June 10, will see large-scale camps organized to address grievances in rural and urban areas.
He said that a unique administrative connectivity is evident in villages and cities, where citizens will no longer need to make frequent visits to government offices amid the scorching summer heat, as the officials themselves will arrive at their doorsteps.
He added that the initiative seeks to bring governance closer to the people, and ensure that complaints are not only heard, but resolved immediately.
As part of the campaign, the entire administrative machinery, from Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai to district collectors, will be actively present on the ground, the official said.
He added that requests will be processed on the ground during home visits and private camps, files will be prepared immediately, and solutions will be provided without delay.
The Prime Minister stressed that timely resolution of public grievances is the true foundation of good governance.
Accordingly, the collectors have already been directed to prioritize disposal of pending issues, including revenue matters such as mutation, division, delimitation, and pending MGNREGA wage payments, among others, by April 30.
He said that a new grassroots action model would be implemented, under which the camps would be organized into groups of 15 to 20 village panchayats in rural areas and groups in urban areas.
These camps will not only accept applications but will also provide immediate delivery of benefits to eligible beneficiaries, with all cases being resolved within a maximum of one month, the official added.
He said ministers, MPs, paralegals and bureaucrats would regularly visit the camps, interact with citizens, monitor arrangements and enhance transparency and accountability.
He said one of the key features of the initiative will be surprise visits by the Prime Minister, who will tour the areas, inspect development works and interact directly with villagers to assess their concerns.
Accountability will be determined immediately, and directions will be issued for immediate resolution, he added.
“Sushasan Tihar 2026 is not just a government programme, but a comprehensive effort to bring the administration closer to the people. Citizens will no longer have to run from one office to another. Instead, the government will reach out to them and ensure timely solutions,” the official added.
