Now, the show has shocked fans by removing one of its most interesting characters in a surprise development.
Corrupt lawyer Monica (played by Bridget Regan) finally meets her end during the April 27 episode, and Regan speaks candidly about the emotional farewell.According to TV Insider, Regan reflects on her four-season storyline and the surprising ways Monica’s story ends. The actress admits that she is filled with gratitude and sadness for the fate of her character.
Bridget Regan knows Monica is walking a tightrope all the time. “Actually, I wasn’t surprised,” she says. “I was just thrilled that it lasted this long. If you play with fire, as much as I did, you’ll eventually get burned.”The 44-year-old actress talks about Monica’s ongoing escape: “She’s survived multiple assassinations, prison, and being thrown into a wood chipper. So when her number finally went up, I wasn’t surprised.”
“Fair enough,” I thought. She had an amazing four-year run on this show. “I’m just filled with gratitude.”
