Ranveer Singh is in talks to shoot for 'Dhurandhar' director Aditya Dhar's next film; The film will be released in March 2027: reports

Director Aditya Dhar and actor Ranveer Singh, who have just come off of scoring two back-to-back Rs 1,000 films, may now be gearing up for their next big project. The director-actor duo, who stormed the box office with Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar: The Revenge, are now gearing up to work in yet another exciting collaboration.

According to the latest buzz, the director has developed a new concept and is currently working on shaping it into a full-length feature film.According to Pinkvilla, Dhar is actively developing the script and hopes to go on floors by early 2027. According to the report, “Aditya Dhar has come up with an idea and is currently working on it. He is excited about the concept and is actively developing it, with a plan to start the film by March 2027.”While the project is still in its early stages, Ranveer has emerged as the frontrunner to headline the yet-to-be-titled film. Just like the ‘Dhurandhar’ films, this film is also expected to be released on a large scale. If the collaboration between Dhar and Singh is finalized, it could become one of the most anticipated film projects of 2027.The 2027 timeline also seems to align with director Dhar wanting to take some time off after spending the last three years working on Dhurandhar.

The director expressed that he wanted to spend some personal time before delving into his next one.Over the past months, rumors have been doing the rounds that Dhar is leaning towards reuniting with Ranveer once again, this time for a historical drama about the founder of the Maurya empire. According to Variety India, the director may also begin one of his passion projects, ‘The Immortal Ashwatthama’, which has been shelved, or also begin work on a large-scale historical epic set in the reign of Chandragupta Maurya. He also has a sports drama in the works.
