Vaibhav Suryavanshi is set to take on the in-form Punjab Kings at home in Mullanpur, after a brilliant century against Sunrise Hyderabad. Although his self-confidence was high, he remained consistent and humble. In a video shared by Rajasthan Royals on social media, Suryavanshi, who recently scored a 35-ball 30 against Sunrisers Hyderabad, was welcomed at the team hotel with garlands. However, he gave it to a young boy who was waiting with other fans to catch a glimpse of the Ryan Barrage-led team.

Match Preview: PBKS vs RR

Punjab Kings’ opening duo of Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya were the most explosive pair of IPL 2026, scoring 323 runs at an astonishing run rate of 14.9.

Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals’ openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who are currently behind them, will be keen to fight back, especially against a Punjab bowling attack that has struggled in the powerplay.Rajasthan, after a strong start to the season, have lost three of their last four matches and need a change. Their hopes rest heavily on the top order, while captain Ryan Parag will look for better contributions from him and Shimron Hetmyer.

Punjab Kings, who are unbeaten at home in New Chandigarh this season, come with strong batting momentum but have concerns of their own, including poor bowling and sloppy fielding. The contest is likely to be decided by the battle between the opening duo, although Rajasthan will also be counting on Jofra Archer and Naandre Berger to take an early lead and turn the match in their favour.
