Mother-to-be Deepika Padukone won’t let her pregnancy keep her away from film sets. The actress, who is spending her time between the sets of King and Raaka, is said to be gearing up to shoot some intense action scenes.
Atlee will be using a body double for pregnant Deepika Padukone
According to reports, director Atlee is recasting parts of his upcoming film to accommodate the pregnant actress’ shooting schedule. Padukone is said to have around 50 days of shooting remaining for the project, which is titled Allu Arjun.A report on Bollywood Hungama said that Atlee, who is thrilled about Deepika’s pregnancy, has worked with his team to come up with a “Plan B” for the upcoming shooting schedule.
According to the report, “Most of the key action sequences featuring Deepika will now be done using her body double. The actress has already given some close-up sequences and they will be combined using VFX for the final print.”
About Deepika Padukone’s role in the movie Raaka
Padukone, who is said to play a central role in the action-packed sci-fi film, will continue filming her close-ups and other dialogue-heavy parts. It will also reportedly have a major entrance sequence and other key moments alongside Allu Arjun.
These scenes will now likely be filmed using stunt doubles and post-production techniques to maintain continuity.
Deepika Padukone is doing a stunt double
This won’t be the first time the actress has used a dual role in her films. Pictures of the actress with her dual role on the sets of ‘Pathaan’ have gone viral in 2023. Katya McRae took to sharing pictures of herself with DP on the sets of the film. They were both seen wearing the same outfit. However, Katya’s face had black motion capture spots on her face.
I have also previously stepped in to film action scenes for the DP during various other commercial shoots.Talking about the film, Atlee had previously revealed that with Raaka, fans will see a completely different Deepika on the big screen.
Deepika announces her second pregnancy
Deepika announced that she is expecting her second child with husband Ranveer Singh earlier this month. The couple are already parents to a baby girl, Doaa.
