According to Variety India, Lakshya will return as NSG commando Amrit Rathod in Kill 2. Karan Johar’s production house and co-producer have already wrapped up the story of the film.The sequel is reportedly expected to premiere in the second half of 2026, with pre-production scheduled to begin in September. .However, Nikhil Nagesh Bhatt, who directed the original ‘Kill’, will not be returning for the sequel, as he is committed to Sunny Deol’s next film, tentatively titled ‘Parshuram’.
Lakshya talks about Kill 2
Even before the official confirmation, Lakshya hinted at the sequel in an interview with Bollywood Hungama. “Talks are ongoing. But to tell you frankly, I can’t say much, because the film is in the working stage. So, as soon as something concrete happens, I will be able to tell you more,” he said.
When asked if he was ready to go through the grueling shoot again, the original film was notorious for injuries, Lakshya answered without hesitation: “Bilkul! Lead actor Hun (of course, I am a crazy actor). If I am asked to do tremendous hard work, I love it. I love when I keep getting injured. When I get less sleep and am asked to do more hard work, I enjoy it.”
