National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval met UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi on Saturday as part of his official visit to the Middle Eastern country.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to enhance the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries and enhance cooperation in the field of energy security in light of the advanced regional developments.

According to a post by the Indian Embassy in the UAE on

The embassy stated in its post: “He called His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, and conveyed the greetings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Measures aimed at deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership, the regional situation, and other issues of common interest were discussed.”

The Emirates News Agency (WAM) also reported on the meeting, noting that Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed received NSA Duval, after which greetings were exchanged between the leaderships of the two countries.

Doval conveyed the greetings of Prime Minister Modi and his best wishes to the United Arab Emirates for continued progress and prosperity, while the President of the UAE returned his greetings to the Indian leadership, wishing India and its people further development and prosperity.

Discussions also focused on recent developments in the Middle East region and their implications for regional and international security and stability, in addition to concerns related to global energy security.

The meeting was also attended by Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security.

This is the second high-level meeting between the two countries within one month.

Earlier this month, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met the UAE President as part of his two-country tour.

Jaishankar pointed to the strength of the strategic partnership between India and the UAE, noting that the ongoing dialogue between the two countries remains strong and transparent despite the complex regional environment.

He traveled to the United Arab Emirates after participating in the ninth Indian Ocean Conference in Mauritius.
