A hotel manager in Dwarka recalls his brief interaction with Rahul Meena, who is accused of the brutal crime Woman raped and murdered in Delhi’s Kailash Hills. Staff described the 23-year-old as “calm” and “nice”. Rahul had checked into the hotel after committing the crime in Kailash Hills.

“I remember him. He came to book a room,” the hotel manager told HT.
“He told me that he was from Alwar and that he had come to Delhi to do some work. He was very calm and nice. He did not seem to have committed such a horrific crime.”

He entered the hotel using a fake name
Police said Mina then entered the hotel Killing the woman and fleeing the scene of the crime. They added that he used the name Rahul Kumar while entering the place.
“At around 4pm, a police team came and started interrogation,” the director told HT. “I was afraid. I later found out that he had killed and raped an innocent girl. I had no idea.”
Investigators said he hired a taxi to Dwarka, threw away the victim’s mobile phone, and switched off another device he was carrying to avoid being tracked.
Delhi Kailash Hills rape and murder case
Meena, a former employee of the victim’s family, allegedly entered the Kailash Hills house using a hidden key after the parents left. He is accused of strangling, raping and violently beating the 22-year-old Indian Institute of Technology graduate. He was very calm and acted indifferent when he told us that he wanted to pay off his debts and attacked the woman because she refused to listen to him. The test will analyze his behavior patterns and mental health status,” a senior officer said.
When Mina appeared before the judge, he admitted to committing the crime in exchange for money. He said: “Jalti hojay. Main pais ki liye kya. Fingerprint chahya tha loker kulne ki liye.”
Investigators linked Meena to another alleged rape in Alwar, Rajasthan, hours before the Delhi crime. Police said he fled the area and traveled through multiple means to reach Delhi early in the morning.
The police booked Meena under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita on charges of rape, murder and robbery. Rajasthan Police confirmed that Meena’s father and five others have been detained for questioning and will be handed over to Delhi Police.
