'I'm a Celebrity... South Africa': Sinitta claims Craig Charles told her to quit off camera

Sinitta made a stunning claim after her exit from I’m a Celebrity… South Africa, claiming that Craig Charles asked her to quit in scenes that were never broadcast for viewers at home. The 80s pop star, best known for her hit song “So Macho,” spoke out after the episode, which left many confused by what they saw.

What happened during Sinita’s Craig Charles’ trial

Sinitta and Craig were paired together for the trial, with Harry Redknapp and Mo Farah, Scarlett Moffat and Adam Thomas forming the other duo. The celebrities were tasked with opening chests filled with creatures to retrieve a list each containing a mathematical puzzle that would give them the code for the next chest.Sinitta struggled to locate the first board, and Craig was seen sighing repeatedly as she carried them both.

In the end, Sinitta left the trial without recovering the first list. Ant and Dec told the campmates that the team that finished last would risk elimination, and as a result, Sinitta and Craig Charles were asked to choose who should leave the camp. By doing what she called the honorable thing, Sinitta insisted that she should be the one to resign.

What Sinitta claimed Craig Charles said off camera

However, Sinitta claimed it was Craig Charles who encouraged her to quit, in exchanges that were not shown to viewers at home.

Viewers only saw Sinitta asking a mostly silent Craig if she should “call him.”Speaking after leaving camp, Sinitta said, “I quit because someone else asked me to do it. Even if we were in last place, I wouldn’t have quit. I’m not one of those people who quit. I quit out of guilt and pressure, not out of running out of steam.”She continued, “It took me a long time, I admit that. But what was in my ear was, ‘Oh Sinitta, just throw it away.’ “I’m standing here like a lemon.” For me, it’s surrender. I wish I had fought for myself back then.”Sinitta also admitted that she regretted saying “I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here” the moment she did. Sinitta’s exit came shortly after Ashley Roberts was axed from the show following a separate trial.
