The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) on Thursday announced the results of Class 10 (HSLC) and Class 12 (HSSLC) board examinations 2026, a day earlier than the previously scheduled date of April 24 due to a technical issue.

According to an official notification issued by the Secretary-in-Charge of the National Office of National Security, Rangomboeng Nsarangbe, the early announcement was necessary due to an issue with the provisional system.
In the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Cass 10 examinations, 16,406 students out of 22,765 students passed, recording an overall pass rate of 72.07%. Aman Kumar of MGM Higher Secondary School, Dimapur secured first position with 590 marks out of 600 and was awarded Governor’s Gold Medal. Girls outperformed boys, as 8,888 boys qualified compared to 7,518 boys.
For the Class 12 Senior Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) examinations, 13,219 out of 15,468 candidates passed the examinations across the streams.
In the Arts stream, Kilino Thuri from Northfield, Khikha topped the list, with 9,945 students passing. In the science stream, Mingoohankum Chang of St. John’s Residential Higher Secondary School, Dimapur topped the results, with 2,355 students out of 2,749 students clearing the exam. In the Commerce stream, Shreya Debnath from Pranab Vidyapeeth Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, secured first rank, with 919 students out of 1,125 students having passed.
