He was 67 years old.Lake Havasu City police said he died from an apparent gunshot wound to the head.According to the Arizona Police Department, officers were dispatched to Sheets’ home in the early hours of April 22 following a report of a deceased person. “On April 22, 2026, at approximately 0200 hours, officers from the Lake Havasu City Police Department were dispatched to a residence in the 1500 block of Chandler Drive in reference to a reported deceased person,” police said in a statement.Papers was pronounced dead at the scene, Deadline reports.The case was turned over to the department’s Criminal Investigation Unit, and the body was transferred to the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office for further examination. “Additional information will be released as it becomes available,” police said.Born on May 13, 1958 in California, Sheets became a familiar face on the hit show “Storage Wars,” appearing in 163 episodes between 2010 and 2023. The series follows America’s epic bidding wars over abandoned storage vaults.

According to reports, he moved to Arizona, where he ran an antique store.
