According to the Metropolitan Police, three people were injured in the accident. A man in his 50s, along with Zakrzewska, suffered life-changing injuries and was taken to hospital.
Another woman in her 30s sustained minor injuries and received treatment.Chief Inspector Alison Foxwell from Specialist Crime South has shared an official update. She said: “As our investigations continue, our thoughts are with those injured and their loved ones. While this incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, venues in the area were still open, and we believe a number of people may have witnessed what happened.”She also added: “I would urge anyone who witnessed the collision, or any activity prior to it that they feel may be relevant, to come forward. Information you have, no matter how simple, that you believe may be of critical importance to investigators.”The area where the accident occurred is usually crowded at night, especially on weekends. For this reason, police believe there may be multiple witnesses who may help explain how the accident happened.At the moment, there is no confirmed update on the cause of the malfunction.
