Taylor Frankie Paul has responded to the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office announcing that they will not file charges against her following two separate investigations into domestic violence allegations..
“Here come the ugly parts of what healing actually looks like,” she began a long post Sunday on Instagram. “If you know me, you know I will admit my parts, my flaws and my mistakes. I’m well aware that this is far from it. We’ll get there. These public atrocities that I lived through not just once, but twice now, on a larger scale, were ultimately the cost of my freedom. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemies or even those who spread this. I cried on my knees in pain while also saying thank you 🙏🏼.”
Ball then admitted that she was still feeling the emotional effects of everything that happened and shared some of the symbolism she saw in the timing of learning that the charges had been dropped.
She continued: “We have a road ahead, but regardless of being forever freed from a certain hell, I have not been able to find a way out of it.” “Figuratively, someone witnessed me bleeding and poured salt over me… somehow I’m still here.. as we can barely see because I believe God stopped me and sent help as well as an army which makes me cry because, thank you all who supported me even without full context 🙏🏼 God no doubt had a hand in this because after waiting for 7 weeks on the exact 7th day I got the call and all charges were dropped. These are his symbolic numbers for his plans I’m nervous to see what he has in store… The steps we go through Moving forward is the same basics, we work on eating, movement, rest, and retraining the nervous system, and I’m going to share that process with you, because if my worst is shared, I’d rather share the rebuilding process with you as well.
The post included three personal photos of Paul, hiding her face with her phone.

During the February 23 incident, which is under investigation, Ball alleged that Mortensen came to her home where her three children were sleeping to talk about their relationship, a day after they got into a verbal altercation about the same topic, got into his car to talk, and drove away without her consent.
In the filing, Ball claims she “begged him to take me home, but he continued to drive away,” they began arguing, and then Mortensen “became physically violent.”
