Theatrical response and ETimes review

The film received mixed to disappointing reviews during its theatrical release.

ETimes gave the film just 2 stars out of 5, and our review read, “Director Praveen Saravanan keeps things moving at a reasonable pace, which at least means the film doesn’t overstay its welcome at just under two hours. The screenplay still runs on a single idea with no escalation and no real stakes, so a reasonable pace will get you to the end faster. The comedy works on the narrowest possible path: Will Karthik get caught? He will.”

Then don’t do it. Then he almost does it again. That’s the whole movie.”Our exclusive review added, “It’s the kind of film that feels like it started as a weekend project and ended out of commitment rather than conviction. Painless if you’re in the room. And over when you let go.”
