MCL Foreman, Technician Hiring 2026
Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited (CIL), has issued an official notification inviting applications for the posts of Foreman and Technician. A total of 500 vacancies have been announced and the application process will be conducted online.The registration process will begin on May 7, 2026, and interested candidates can apply through the official website within the given deadline.
Vacancy details
According to the notification, the employment includes two positions:
- Assistant Foreman (Electrician) Trainee – 150 jobs
- Trainee (electrical) technician – 350 jobs
These vacancies are temporary and may change as per company requirements.

Eligibility criteria
According to the official notification, the following is the academic qualification required:Assistant Foreman (Electrician):
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Certificate in Electrical and Electronic Engineering approved by All India Council for Technical Education (
AICTE ).
Technician (electrical):
- Passed high school diploma (Class 10)
- Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Electrical Trading
- Minimum one year of training or work experience
- Valid permit under Indian Electricity Rules
Age limit
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Maximum age: 30 years (as on 28 May 2026)
Age relaxation will be provided for reserved categories as per government rules.
Selection process
Selection will be done through Computer Based Test (CBT) only. there will be:
- Objective type questions
- There are no negative signs
- Two sections: general awareness/competence and technical knowledge
CBT eligible candidates will be called for document verification.
Application fee
- INR 1000 + GST (Total approximately INR 1180) for General, Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Economic Weaker Section (EWS) candidates
- There is no fee for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Standard Disabilities (PwBD), Ex-Servicemen and Female Candidates.
