Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma serve two purposes, and appear for the first time after the “like” controversy involving the German influencer, Lezlas.

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma often attract attention with their airport outings and every time they appear in public. They serve goals and fans can’t stop gushing over them. On Sunday, Virat and Anushka were spotted at their airport, and their videos went viral.

It was their first public appearance together after Kohli found himself in the middle of an online controversy involving a ‘like’ on a photo posted by German model and influencer LizLaz. In a video clip that quickly spread on social media, the two were seen exiting the airport. Kohli kept her look casual with a black T-shirt and blue jeans, while Anushka opted for a chic and comfy look – a kurta with floral details, paired with palazzo pants and a green dupatta.

At one point, Kohli was seen carrying Anushka’s bag and received praise online for being a ‘green flag’ partner. Many pictures of them went viral but one of those moments was when Anushka was staring at Virat.

Fans soon started sharing it with the following caption: “Find someone who looks at you the way Anushka looks at Virat.”

For those who don’t know, the chatter started when social media users claimed that Kohli had liked one of LizLaz’s Instagram posts.

This soon became a talking point and Lezlas finally broke her silence about the cricketer liking and then not liking her photo. “I actually felt sorry for him. I was so happy that he liked it, but then he didn’t like it. I felt bad for him because I don’t even know how it became such a big story,” she told Hindustan Times.

How people noticed, how they made it news… that may not have been his intention, but I’m still grateful for it and appreciate the support from him.

This is not the first time Kohli has faced such speculation. Last year, he was noticed liking a post by Avneet Kaur, which quickly turned into an online meme fest. Addressing the situation at the time, Kohli explained, “I would like to clarify that while scanning my feed, it appears that the algorithm may have mistakenly recorded an interaction. There was absolutely no intention behind it. I request that no unnecessary assumptions be made.”

Kohli and Anushka’s journey together goes back to 2013, when they met while shooting a commercial. Although they initially kept their relationship private, they eventually tied the knot in 2017 in a close-knit ceremony in Italy. The couple welcomed their daughter, Vamika, in January 2021, followed by the birth of their son, Akai, in February 2024.
