'I stand by every word': Kash Patel's legal action over 'drinking problem' report, journalist says she will fight it out

The law firm representing Kash Patel addressed the Atlantic audience with a letter they said it sent before the article was published about Kash Patel’s alleged drinking problem.

A major war of words has broken out between advisors to FBI Director Kash Patel and The Atlantic after Atlantic journalist Sarah Fitzpatrick exclusively reported that the FBI director has a drinking problem, which is known to the administration.

On several occasions, Patel’s security detail had difficulty waking him up because he appeared intoxicated, Fitzpatrick said, and then stressed that she stood by every word she wrote because she was an award-winning investigative journalist. She said Atlantic had excellent lawyers who would defend the case while it conducted its audit, and even the White House and Department of Justice did not dispute the reports.

Fitzpatrick commented on the statement of Patel’s advisor, Erica Knight, in which he threatened to file a lawsuit: “This is telling.” Fitzpatrick said Patel goes after people who use polygraphs, so no one would register.

“All the D.C. reporters chased the story, then passed on it.”

After The Atlantic’s “bombshell” over Kash Patel’s alleged drinking problem, Erica Knight said this was a conservative issue that every real D.C. reporter hounded and then passed on because they couldn’t verify it. “Journalists have resorted to listening to disaffected biased claims supported by their anonymous disgruntled friends in order to craft a narrative.

“Gossip fiction may get clicks, but truth gets hits,” Knight wrote.

“I spent almost every day with Cash.”

Clint Brown responded to Atlantic’s claims and said that as Sherpa Cash Patel was in the transition period and spent almost every day with him for over three months. “I’ve never seen him drink. Not once. You’re spinning this narrative because you know the President of the United States doesn’t view that favorably, and he even admitted it in your story,” Brown posted, asking why he hadn’t been reached out for reporting.

Pinal Law Group He reveals the letter sent to The Atlantic prior to the article

The Binnall Law Group, which represents Patel, published the letter they sent to The Atlantic before the article was published. “If these false allegations are published, Director Patel will take swift action to preserve his reputation,” the letter said, noting that seven allegations about Patel’s problem drinking have been removed because they are 100% false. “Memo to fake news – the only time I’ll worry about the successful lies you write about me will be when you stop. Keep talking, it means I’m doing exactly what I need to do. And no amount of information you write will deter the FBI from making America safe again and taking down the criminals you love,” Patel wrote in a new post as the controversy is now taking center stage.“If the fake news mafia isn’t feeding you baseless information, you’re not doing your job,” Patel told Fox News.
