As Season 3 of Euphoria kicks off, we’re paying a heartfelt tribute to the beloved cast and crew members we’ve lost, like Eric Dane and Angus Cloud. Dane’s Cal Jacobs makes a poignant appearance, while we learn that Fezco, played by Cloud, lives a challenging life behind bars.

Eric Dane, Angus Cloud, and the show’s executive producer, Kevin Turin, have left the world. The series now honors the legacy of its late members.Also, the writers developed a storyline for the late Angus Cloud’s character, Fizco, since Season 2 ended with Fez’s arrest after the police raided his house.
Season 3 of “Euphoria” pays tribute to Eric Dane
At the beginning of the Season 3 premiere, there was a memorial card containing a photo of Eric, who passed away on February 19 after a battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
Eric, who played Cal Jacobs, Jacob Elordi’s character, Nate Jacob’s father on the series, was still able to film for the new season and appeared briefly in the season’s trailer.Based on his appearance in the trailer, it appears that Eric will appear in one of the scenes from Cassie and Nate’s wedding and will interact with Hunter Schafer as Jules, a character he had a one-night stand with in the past.
Tribute to the other souls who have passed away
After the credits rolled at the end of the episode, “In Memoriam” by Eric and Angus Cloud and executive producer Kevin Turin, who passed away in 2023, also appeared on screen.
Angus Cloud’s character, Fezco, is still part of the story
Although Angus himself is not part of the show, his character, Vizco, is still present in the new season. In the Season 3 premiere, it was revealed that Fezco, also known as Fez, played by Cloud before his tragic overdose in 2023, is serving a decades-long prison sentence.During the episode that aired Sunday, Rue (Zendaya) tried to convince her friend Lexie (Maude Apatow) to call him in prison. Lexie, who had a budding romance with the suave drug dealer in Season 2, admits she “feels guilty” she hasn’t spoken to him but insists she’s been busy.
“He misses you,” Rue told her, assuring her that he had mentioned her several times. “I don’t know, my work hours and his work hours don’t really align, so it’s hard,” says Lexi, who now works on a show in Hollywood.
Rue responded, “Just pick up the phone and call him! It’s not like he’s going anywhere. He’s been in prison for 30 years.”Executive producer Kevin Turin died of heart complications at the age of 44 in November 2023.Season 3 of Euphoria, starring Jacob Elordi, Hunter Schaeffer and Alexa Demme, airs weekly on HBO.
