RPI (Athawale) president and Union Minister Ramdas Athawale on Saturday expressed confidence that the BJP and NDA will come to power in West Bengal, Assam, Puducherry and Tamil Nadu, while the NDA is enjoying a favorable atmosphere in Kerala as well.

He alleged that law and order had failed in West Bengal, including the rise in crimes against women, and said people were disappointed with the Trinamool Congress government.
“We are confident that the BJP government will come this time. Goodbye to Mamata Didi is certain. Our government will also come in Assam, Pondicherry. In Tamil Nadu too, the NDA can come to power. Such an atmosphere is there. I have been there two or three times,” Athawale, Social Justice and Empowerment Federation, told reporters here.
He said people in Kerala want change from the LDF and UDF, and the NDA is likely to make big gains.
Noting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken a revolutionary step to provide 33 per cent quota for women, Athawale said that during the special session of Parliament next week, the number of Lok Sabha seats will rise to 816, of which 273 are reserved for women.
SC and ST women will have reservation in the 273 seats, he said.
He added that the step to provide reservation for women would empower women in the country and ensure social, economic and political justice.
