Saturday Night Live He wasted no time mocking President Donald Trump’s polarizing Easter social media post about the Iran war.

The cold open began with James Austin Johnson’s Trump discussing the wording of the post with Ashley Padilla’s Carolyn Levitt.

“Start with, ‘Open the Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll live in hell.’ Then at the end, I might add: ‘Thank God,'” Trump told Johnson, prompting Padilla’s boss Levitt to respond: “Do you think I should write, ‘Thank God,’ and that’s from you, the president of the United States?”

He added, “Yes, yes, God. It is a sarcastic attack on the largest religion in the world.” “They’re known to have a good sense of humor about that sort of thing.”

“As your press secretary, this puts me in a difficult position, sir,” Levitt responded from Padilla. He added: “Oh, don’t worry about it, Caroline. As I told Pam Bondi and Kristi Noem right before I fired them, you’re doing a great job.”

Trump went on to “make some urgent phone calls” amid “a lot of important things going on in the world right now.” His first call is none other than Tiger Woods (Kenan Thompson), who called him while he was in rehab.

“Hi Tiger, it’s Donald. Are you playing in the Masters this weekend?” he asked. “No sir. I don’t know if you’ll remember, but I flipped my car and got a DUI,” the fake Woods explained.

Trump Johnson said: “You should have told the cops we were friends. They would have let you out.” “Well, I did, and they didn’t,” Woods said.

“If there’s something I can do to help. Well, do you want to play some golf?” Trump Johnson added. The cynical president took another call and joked that he didn’t recognize the caller’s number, and upon answering, it turned out to be his wife, Melania (played by Chloe Fineman), who was calling to get some advice on issuing a statement to say she was not one of Jeffrey Epstein’s victims.

“You’re calling me, that’s not a good sign,” he said after he answered and realized his wife had called. “Listen, I decided I should make a big, completely random speech out of nowhere and say I’m not a victim of Epstein. Is that okay?” Melania Veneman asked.

“Honey, I have to admit, this sounds a little crazy,” Trump-Johnson said. “Who are you, Anna?”

Melania continued: “Well, it’s not just Epstein. I thought I could also say: I, Melania Trump, in no way helped the Gilgo Beach serial killer.” Trump argued that “would make everyone more skeptical,” to which Feinman replied: “What if I announced I was going to do it.” barely Celebrate with Didi? Will that help?”

To close the cold door, Trump Johnson called Pete Hegseth (Colin Jost) to talk about the Iran war, who provided an update: “Well, rest assured, sir, Iran gets wiped out like me every Saturday night, allegedly.” Ghost Hegseth then asked if he was “actually negotiating with these herbs?”

“You know, don’t worry about the negotiations. I just heard they’re going very badly,” Trump told Johnson. “I sent my secret weapon, J.D. Vance. And after these Iranians spent 20 hours talking to J.D., they said, ‘Please, sir, come back to bombing us.’”

Colman Domingo was the evening’s host, and used his opening monologue to bring the comedy series’ set to life. He began by listing past projects he’s starred in, saying, “Sure, I’m an actor, but what I’m most known for is that when you come to my house, the vibes are amazing.
