Ranveer Singh’s film ‘Dhurandhar 2’ is currently creating a buzz in theatres, ever since its release on March 19. The film is widely discussed not only across India but internationally as well, as it has broken several box office records domestically and across the world.
Ranveer plays Jaskirat Singh Ranji, an Indian spy who infiltrates Pakistan’s Lyari district by impersonating Hamza Ali Mazhari and becomes embroiled in the world of gangsters. His performances in both ‘Dhurandhar’ and its sequel received huge praise. While Ranveer is receiving accolades for his performance, with some even calling it his career best, director-turned-actor Anurag Kashyap spoke about the actor’s dedication. Anurag revealed that it is not just about ‘Dhurandhar’, Ranveer has always been very passionate and dedicated to his craft since the beginning of his career.

“We hear stories about Dhurandhar and how he and Arjun Rampal got hurt and hurt each other. So, how far did they go for the role and the film got amazing numbers right? But Ranveer Singh, in his second film ‘Lootera’, when it was shot in the climax and it felt right, he took a cut without telling anyone and cut himself. He went above and beyond as an actor to do that, and we had to… We take him to the hospital. The film did not achieve the numbers of “Dhurandhar”, but that is the conviction of that man.
