Channel 4 said Hollywood Reporter On Wednesday, an episode featuring the former radio presenter and reportedly also featuring Rag n Bone Man singer, JLS band member Aston Merrygold, broadcaster Edith Bowman and comedian John Richardson, will not air as planned on April 18.

“After carefully considering the circumstances, we have made the decision not to broadcast the final episode of the 2026 series Great celebrities are preparing to stand up to cancerA company spokesperson said: “While recognizing the seriousness of the allegations against Scott, we do not believe it would be appropriate to air the episode at this time.”

The actor added that an alternate episode of Celebrity GBBO The air will fall into place.

The British press went into a frenzy last week when Mills was sacked from his role as host of the country’s beloved breakfast show on Radio 2. The BBC initially said he was sacked for “personal behaviour”, but it soon emerged that police had questioned the now 53-year-old Mills over historical allegations – dating back to 1997-2000, when Mills was in his 20s – of “serious sexual offences” against a boy who was underage. Of 16 at that time.

Police opened an investigation into the allegations in 2016, and reported this to the BBC in 2017. Mills was investigated over the allegations in 2018, but the case was dropped a year later. No charges were filed after prosecutors deemed there was not enough evidence to move forward.

After the company said the star was sacked when “new information” came to light, BBC News confirmed it was related to the fact the alleged victim was under 16.

Mills eventually said: “The recent announcement that I am no longer under contract with the BBC has led to rumors and speculation. In response, the Metropolitan Police have issued a statement, which I confirm relates to me.”

He continued: “An allegation was made against me in 2016 for a historical sexual offense, which was the subject of a police investigation in which I fully cooperated and responded to in 2018. As stated by the police, an evidence file was submitted to the Crown Prosecution Service, who decided that the evidentiary threshold was not met to bring charges… As the investigation relates to an allegation dating back almost 30 years and the police investigation was closed 7 years ago, I hope so.” The public and media will understand and respect my wish not to make any further public comment on this matter. He ended by thanking well-wishers and saying he missed his “beloved listeners.”
